Sad News: Passing of Prof. Dr. Stephen Lewis Minger

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Prof. Dr. Stephen Lewis Minger, a cherished professor in our MSc in Cell and Gene Therapies program, at the age of 68.
Stephen was more than a colleague; he was a dear friend, mentor, and a source of inspiration. His loss is deeply felt by everyone in our community.
Stephen’s groundbreaking contributions to gene therapy and stem cell biology have left a lasting impact on the field. Throughout his illustrious career, he held esteemed positions including Senior Lecturer at King’s College London, Global Director for R&D at GE Healthcare, and Chief Scientist at GE Healthcare Life Sciences. Most recently, he led SLM Blue Skies Innovations Ltd., where he provided expert guidance on emerging healthcare technologies.
Stephen was not only actively involved in teaching our course modules but was also a fervent supporter of the MSc in Cell and Gene Therapies from its inception. He was dedicated to sharing his vast knowledge and fostering the next generation of scientists, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to the field and the broader scientific community.
Stephen’s legacy will be cherished and remembered. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family during this difficult time.
